1/24/2013 7:54 PM

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Protestors in Mosul Ahrar square stated that two persons and journalists were hit by security forces' attack against them, describing such acts as "suppressive to the demands wanted by the people".

Demonstrators' spokesman Ghanim al-Abid told Aswat al-Iraq that clashes with stones occurred with the security forces who tried to enter the square by force to disperse the demonstrators.

Two journalists, of Sharqiyah TV and Sama Mosul TV were attacked, as well as firing in the air, as reported by the demonstrators to Aswat al-Iraq.

Aswat al-Iraq could not have an official statement from the security forces for these charges.

After these clashes, the security forces withdrew from the square, but the protestors remained.

Two weeks earlier, the same procedures occurred when the police forces fired in the air and chasing the demonstrators with their military vehicles that led to colliding with them.
