Demonstration in Samarra' to support region's call

SALAH AL-DIN / Aswat al-Iraq: A demonstration marched today in Samarra' city with more than 2000 participants in support for establishing Salah al-Din region, calling premier Nouri al-Maliki to pass their demand to election authority.
 
A security source in the city told Aswat al-Iraq that the demonstrators marched after Friday noon prayers, with the participation of four of the Provincial Council members.
 
The demonstration passed peacefully for more than one hour, surrounded by police and military units.
 
Provincial Council members demanded end of last month demanded economic and administrative region within Iraqi unity, where thousands of people supported this demand, attributing such call to central negligence to the province.
