12/26/2012 6:36 PM

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: State of Law MP Abdul Mehdi al-Khafaji criticized central government's silence on the "coup d'état" headed by political blocs, in reference to Anbar protest demonstrations.

He added that these demonstrations will lead to denominational war inside the country.

In a press statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, he added that these moves are made under the slogan of "opinion freedom", but added that "it the government kept silent, this move will be confronted with popular will".

He pointed out that some ex-regime elements are moving against the political process in the country, thus "we denounce governmental silence against this coup d'état".

Anbar demonstrations demanded stopping violating the rights of the political partners by premier Maliki and neglecting the Sunni sect.
