KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: One soldier was wounded in an improvised explosive device explosion in southwestern Kirkuk, according to a security source.
"The bomb exploded at 9am targeting an army vehicle patrol in southwestern Kirkuk, wounding a solider and damaging the vehicle," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"Security forces cordoned off the region and carried the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment," he added.
Kirkuk lies 280 km northeast of Baghdad.
