Basra police detain 17 wanted persons

BASRA / Aswat al-Iraq: Police forces arrested on Thursday 17 wanted men in separate areas in Basra, according to Basra police department.
"Basra police waged wide-scale security operations in separate parts of the province, where 17 wanted men were arrested," a source from the police department told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"The force found a depot contains 117 mortar shells, 11 rocket propelled grenades, and 7 cannonballs," he continued.
Basra is 590 km south of Baghdad.
