SALAHAL-DIN/ Aswat al-Iraq: Police sources said here today that 11 persons, mostly soldiers, were either killed or wounded in a double attack against a military post south Tikrit.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that unknown gunmen attacked the military post, 125 km south of Kirkuk city that led to killing four soldiers and wounding five.

The source added that the area was under a mortar shells attack to cover the retreat of the gunmen.

The attack resulted in wounding two civilians, as reported,
