Body of child found in central Amara

MISSAN / Aswat al-Iraq: A security force found the body of a four-year-old girl on the banks of the River Tigris in the city of al-Amara on Thursday, according to a local security source in Missan.
“Security forces found the body of a little girl who apparently had been strangled to death and left on the eastern bank of the River Tigris in central Amara,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The body was removed to a morgue in the city,” he added, not giving more information.
Amara, the capital city of Missan province, lies 390 km south of Baghdad.
