6 explosions in Baghdad

BAGHFAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Security sources said here today that three persons were killed, 59 wounded, including 3 cops, in a new 6-explosion series in different parts of the capital.

The series of explosions, done by six bombed cars and a bomb, hit different parts of east Baghdad, amid chocking political wrangling that lasted for more than one year.

The security sources told Aswat al-Iraq that 3 bombed cars exploded in Hussainiya area, north of Baghdad that resulted in killing two and wounding 34.

Another car exploded in east of Baghdad near a Christian cemetery that led to wounding five persons.

The fourth explosion was in mid Baghdad near Babel Hotel that led to wounding 7 persons.

Two bombed cars exploded near a market in Saiydiya area, south west Baghdad that led to killing one and wounding 10.

The source added that a bomb exploded targeting a police patrol south west Baghdad that led to wounding 3 cops.

Earlier, the security sources reported the explosions of 4 bombed car in Sadr city.

No other details were given.
