12/22/2012 6:35 PM

ARBIL/ Aswat al-Iraq: Head of Foreign Public Relations in Kurdish Region government said today that one of the reasons of the current crisis between Baghdad and Arbil is the non-abidance of Premier Nouri al-Maliki by the constitution.

In the official site, Falah Mustapha received today a delegation from US Foreign Department, headed by US Secretary of State Advisor for Iraqi Affairs Britt Mac Kirk.

Mushtapha briefed the US delegation the reasons behind escalating the tension between Baghdad and Arbil.

He pointed out the "unilateral" stands of Premier Nouri al-Maliki and "non-abidance by the constitution" as some factors for the tension.

Both sides stressed "necessity to solve pending questions through dialogue and resorting to the Iraqi constitution", according to the official site.
