2/17/2013 2:13 PM

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Bahrain Interior Minister announced that the security forces arrested a "terrorist" cell comprising 8 Bahrainis.

Bahrain news agency quoted Sheikh Rashid al-Khalifa, through a televised announcement that the "investigations proved that the cell members moved among Iran, Iraq and Lebanon, as well as having training and funds".

"All details shall be announced after completing the investigations", the agency added.

For the last two years, Bahrain witnessed demonstrations against governmental policies and demanding political reforms, at a time Bahrain is accusing foreign countries, like Iran, supporting the protestors to topple the Bahraini regime.

Bahrain called for security support from Gulf countries in the form of Jazeera Shield, mostly from Saudi Arabia.
