ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: A car bomb went off as a bomber was trying to cross Wadi Houran region, west of Anbar, killing him instantly, a police source said.

 

 

"A suicide bomber was driving a car bomb in Wadi Houran region heading for al-Ratba district, west of Anbar, and while crossing the Wadi Houran region, the car exploded suddenly, killing him on the spot," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

 

"Security forces searched the whole area, fearing from more car bombs," he added.

 

 

Al-Ratba is 360 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, which lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
