BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi journalists' national conference for the unity of the country was held here today with the attendance of more 1500 journalists.

The speakers confirmed Iraqi national unity in people and land.

Head of Iraqi Union of Journalists Mu'ayad al-Lami described this move as an attempt "to avoid division in the country and to contribute in over passing the current political crisis".
