BAGHDAD  / Aswat al-Iraq: An Iraqi legislature from the National Alliance, led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, on Thursday called on Maliki to cut down his current cabinet, pointing out that there are incompetent elements in the cabinet.

“Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is urged to cut down the current number in his cabinet, after a 100-day period he had defined to review their acchievements,” Khalid al-Assady told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He said that "the cabinet is unnecessarily large size, and includes incompetent elements who are unable to achieve their mission in the new cabinet.”

Prime Minister Maliki had defined a 100-day period few days ago to evaluate the activity of the government and each ministry aside.
