ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: An army officer was wounded on Thursday when he was shot by a sniper in north of Falluja, a police source said.

 

 

"A sniper shot an army lieutenant in al-Saqlawiya district, north of Falluja," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

 

"The officer was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment," he noted.

 

 

Al-Saqlawiya is 16 km north of Falluja, 60 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar which lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
