Six cops hurt in two explosions north west Kirkuk
KIRKUK/ Aswat al-Iraq: Police sources said here today that six cops, including an officer, were wounded by two explosions targeting their patrol north west Kirkuk.
The source told Aswat al-Iraq that the explosions took place in Dibis area, 50 km North West Kirkuk.
The two explosions went off simultaneously that led to the casualties and damaging a vehicle.
Precautionary measures were taken, but no extra information was given.
Kirkuk, center of the province, lies 280 km north east of the capital, Baghdad.
It is one of the hot places in Iraq, where armed actions are committed against the security forces and civilians, alike.
