BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Usama al-Nujaifi condemned the "criminal" Israeli aggressions on the Palestinian people, underlining the Palestinians’ legitimate rights, according to a statement from his office.
Al-Nujaifi said that Iraq will not keep watching without doing anything, noting that his country will support Palestinians by all means necessary.
Fighting intensified after Israel killed Hamas military commander, Ahmad al-Jaabari, in an air strike targeting his car.
Israel justified the operation by pointing to the continued missile attacks on its territories by Hamas fighters.
