BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Premier Nouri al-Maliki discussed with Salah al-Din governor and MPs the provincial situation, support and expansion of their authorities, and the dangers of establishing regions at this stage.

 

In a statement issued by his office, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq it was stressed the internal and external challenges facing Iraq at this stage.

 

Earlier, in a telephone call, the governor Ahmed Abdulla Al-Jbouri informed premier Maliki that "the declaration of Salah al-Din as a region has become a public demand and cannot stop it".
