Sadrist campaign to expose corrupted personalities
NAJAF/ Aswat al-Iraq: Sadrist Leader Muqtada al-Sadr's spokesman announced today a popular campaign to demand exposing the names of the corrupted personalities in the Russian arms deal and the food ration card.
Sheikh Salah al-Obaidi, in a press conference here, attended by Aswat al-Iraq, he added that the campaign included collecting signatures for the continuation of the food ration card principle in all provinces.
"We suffer of corruption, but after recognition of this case from the upper governmental circles, we will demand exposing them before the public", he confirmed.
Premier Maliki ordered investigations in the Russian arms deal, which was signed with the amount of $4.2 billion.
Najaf lies 160 km south of the capital, Baghdad.
