BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Sadrist bloc on Wednesday underlined that the Sadrist bloc will defend Christians in Iraq just like they defend all Iraqis in the country, the chairman of the political body of the Sadrist office said.

“We declare that all Iraqi Christians are our brothers and partners in this country and we will defend their presence in Iraq,” Karar al-Khafaji said in a statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“Al-Ahrar bloc’s ministers are interested in offering unemployed Christians job opportunities and the bloc was and still calling for national unity,” he concluded.
